The story behind ArtistTool

I kept printing blurry files and wasting hours re-exporting artwork, checking scattered forum answers, and fixing avoidable sizing mistakes. ArtistTool started as the internal toolkit I wished existed when I needed fast, reliable print and platform math.

Today, ArtistTool is owned and organized by NiceSoftware AS and maintained by an indie developer and artist focused on practical production workflows. The goal is still the same: help creators make confident export decisions the first time.

Editorial mission and update policy

Our editorial mission is to publish practical, production-focused tools and guides that reduce print errors, platform crop failures, and unnecessary rework for artists, designers, and content creators.

Core pages are reviewed on a regular cadence, and high-impact guides are updated whenever platform specifications, print standards, or workflow best practices change.

Experience and credentials

ArtistTool is maintained by an indie developer and artist with more than 10 years of hands-on experience across digital imaging, marketplace asset preparation, and print production workflows.

Product direction is grounded in real delivery scenarios: gallery-quality print prep, listing-ready Etsy and POD assets, and repeatable export systems that reduce quality regressions.

We actively collect user feedback and ship iterative improvements to both calculators and educational resources.
