Procreate canvas sizes for Etsy printables — what actually works
The exact pixel dimensions and DPI settings for the most popular Etsy printable sizes. Set up your Procreate canvas correctly before you start drawing.

Procreate's default canvas sizes are designed for illustration and screen use — not for print. If you open a new canvas using one of the presets and start drawing without checking the pixel dimensions, you will almost certainly end up with a file too small to sell as a printable.
The good news is that setting up a print-ready canvas in Procreate takes about 30 seconds. You just need to know the right numbers before you tap "Create".
How to create a print-ready canvas in Procreate
- Tap the + icon to create a new canvas.
- Tap the custom canvas option (the icon with a ruler and square at the top right of the canvas picker).
- Under Dimensions, set the unit to Pixels.
- Enter the width and height from the table below.
- Under Color Profile, choose sRGB for digital downloads or digital-lab prints. Choose P3 or check with your print lab if you are using a professional CMYK workflow.
- Set Time-lapse Settings and Maximum Layers if needed, then tap Create.
Note: Procreate does not expose a DPI field in the canvas creator directly. The DPI is implicit from the pixel dimensions and the physical size. Use the pixel numbers below and you will be at 300 DPI for the correct physical print size.

Which size should you use?
If you are unsure, start with A4 (2480 × 3508 px). It is the most universally used printable size for international Etsy buyers and is accepted everywhere — buyers can trim it to letter size if needed.
If your audience is primarily in the United States, add a US Letter (2550 × 3300 px) version to your listing. Offering both in one listing is a good way to serve both markets without creating separate listings.
For wall art specifically, 8 × 10 in (2400 × 3000 px) is one of the most popular sizes because it fits frames sold at IKEA, Target, and similar retailers. Buyers who plan to frame their prints often search for this exact size.
How to export from Procreate for Etsy
Once your artwork is complete, tap the wrench icon → Share → choose your format:
- PDF: Best for printables. Preserves vector text if you have any, and produces sharp output at all zoom levels. Buyers can print directly from the PDF.
- TIFF: Lossless raster. Good for print labs. Larger file size than JPEG but no compression artefacts.
- JPEG: Use at the highest quality setting (100%). Slightly smaller file than TIFF. Fine for most buyer use cases.
- PNG: Good if your design has transparency or solid flat colours. Larger file size than JPEG.
Avoid exporting as PNG for photographic or heavily blended artwork — JPEG at 100% quality is smaller and visually indistinguishable at print.
Check your file before uploading
Before listing your printable on Etsy, run a quick resolution check. Use the Pixels to Print Size Calculator with your exported file's pixel dimensions at 300 DPI. The resulting print size should match the size you are advertising in your listing title and description.
If the print size comes out smaller than expected, you either used a wrong canvas size or accidentally exported at a reduced resolution. Fix the source file before listing — buyers will notice the mismatch and it will generate refund requests.
